Powerleague is the home of five-a-side football - the leading participation destination for the world’s most popular sport. It’s there for the everyday five-a-side player throughout the nation, bringing active participation in the beautiful game within everyone’s reach.

The challenge was to create one unifying brand positioning for all their centres and activities around the UK - over 35 Powerleague centres and more than 250 Powerplay playing locations.

People play five-a-side because it’s a totally immersive experience - not just a source of bonding or a way to improve fitness, but a means of physical and mental escape in which it’s possible to emulate the greats - or at least believe so! From those lunchtime office-workers to the walking football veterans, whatever life has to throw at people, they can always get away from the everyday and dream with a game of football at Powerleague.

Our positioning reflected this mindset. There’s one thing that we all look forward to - Play. And there’s only one way to go in life. That’s on.

We created the new brand platform of ‘Play on’ and made sure that everything we created followed that lead and captured that spirit. Working with photographer Matt Gordon, our photographic style celebrates the everyday player at every touchpoint.

‘Play On’ is now the mantra at the heart of the brand - from the website to the signage, comms and Clubhouse vibe. The final results? Watch this space…
